Should i get this 96 Estroil Blue M3?

I'm looking for a DD and was wondering what your opinions were on this car.

1996 M3
Estroil Blue, 154k miles, Luxury package, One owner, Garaged and well cared for, All paperwork included. He's asking $6800

Thanks again!

That price is great! No accidents right? I would get it inspected and go from there. I'm not a huge fan of the luxury package but nice find!

The seats will not be the coveted 'vaders,' the front bumper valance thing features slats in the center and there should be faux wood trim in the cabin.

It's a good buy only if the engine hasn't overheated (look for signs of coolant stains or overheating) and inspect front and rear shock/strut towers as well. Also inspect rtab pockets.

I notice you say this will be a daily driver. At around 150k is when the entire car needs to be rebuilt from the ground up. Control arm pair is $500 (without bushings) and will definitely need replacing (for starters).

Buying a used E36 M3 with that kind of mileage on it is an absolute expensive commitment. Just be prepared for it.

Cannot--I repeat--CANNOT just buy this car for asking price and drive it.

^ok thanks. You're right, a lot of things will need replacing even if it was in mint condition. I'll ask if he has maintenance record.

Lux package also had nicer, textured leather on the door cards, no lip on the bumper and no twisty side skirts.

I'd buy that car in a minute if everything checks out. I love estoril E36s.

please have a technican take a look at it. the technican can put the car on a lift and he can inspect for leaks like oil etc. also cooling system insepction too. Just have a PPI done to have your piece of mind since its got some miles on it.
