i found the 3d maps to useful when looking for a parking spot. its just more detailed.

tried out the new google maps. its nice too. i like the voice better compared to the apple maps.

now we have both.

been using it for a couple weeks and its been great. phone doesnt get hot. nothing out of the ordinary and the quality of the cable looks on par with the oem cable. it was $7ish total i think

Can you confirm the cable supports audio out?
Plug it into your car or computer and try to play music via USB.

I just read the reviews on amazon for the fakes

No on audio yes on sync and charging.

I ordered the dumb $29 adapter.

I do have 4 old cables that can still be used

Sweet, I need one just for charging in my car, as I have a AUX input. Love that the HP jack is at the bottom now for this reason

No way it's apple. The rumor is the adapter has a built in DAC which is not cheap- part of the reason why it costs $29 instead of $19.

My Apple lightning cord was $19 at the Apple store. The adapter was $19 at the time I believe. The prices on the Apple website and the store were conflicting.

I left my iPhone on my lap

went to the gas station, got out, dropped on straight concrete, bounced on all 4 corners

Sh!t's a beast, there's a little knick on a corner but the black anodize didn't even chip off

I can replace the back of the case for $75~, just unscrew 2 screws - but I don't really notice it

not bad for being naked

Sync and charge are easy.
Audio out is where the trick is.
Apple's OEM cable supports it.

Actually that's incorrect...

The iPhone 5 went back to TOP down construction, so to replace the back you have to remove EVERYTHING. Which is actually better because the screen is more important than the back. I used to replace iphone 3g fronts all the time for people, to replace the 4's front was a little more difficult because they did bottom to top construction, but the back was just two screws... The front of the 5 is a peace of cake to replace now, the back, not so much...

Has anyone's phone been freezing up or lagging recently? For the past 3-4 days my phone keeps lagging whenever I try to send a text or open an app... even sometimes just trying to turn the screen on will cause it to lag
