I would in a heartbeat. Going to a private elementry, middle school for 6th grade, private for the remainder of middle, and private for high school, I felt I received much more structure and a superior education at the private schools. Thenagain, Florida's public school system is pathetic.

I don't know how school access is determined in your area, but here you have to attend the school in your neighborhood for the most part. If I lived a mile north, I'd still have "good schools in my area" but it wouldn't matter because those neighborhoods don't get access to the good schools a mile south.

Sacramento only has one "10" rated school. Is that the one that serves your house?

That's a cool site, and it makes me happy we chose to live where we do.

Private School, yes - more so if the state offers vouchers. A public school in a great, high taxed city isn't bad either.

My sisters private school cost more than my university. I would but not as a definite. If public school didn't suit them then yes. But my younger sisters $23k per year school didn't do anything more for her than my public school did for me.

Depending on your area. Private school is a great option when considering student to teacher ratio. Also, you don't have to listen to the constant budget talk.

I'd expect someone who went to private school to brag about that.
