That was very uncomfortable to watch. Had me right on the edge.

Looking forward to the final season, but with that being said, I just can't see Dexter ending off on a good note.

I dont either. Thats what will make the final season so great to watch. It's gonna suck to wait.

Watching this finale made me also realize how much I missed Doakes. His character was awesome.

Anyone else notice in the final scene at the party hows Dexter and Deb both "Glide, like a lizard on ice" through that party like Doakes describes...?

Edit: Damn! Just found this.

Anyone think for a second that Deb and Dex were going to kiss when it became new years?

I thought he was going to turn around just as the music was ending and bring her in for a kiss.

That episode was great. The season as a whole was fantastic, can't wait to find out what direction this all goes.

How many of those green long sleeve shirts do you think Dexter has?

Hannah will definitely play a part next season. Theres a reason why she left a flower in dex's doorstep. I actually didnt know tonight's episode was the finale. Crazy episode for sure.

I'm impressed! This was an awesome season with LOTS of on-the-edge-of-your-seat moments. Deb really loves Dexter unconditionally. I wonder if a romance will form during the final season. I can't wait for this to come out on DVD/blu-ray.

P.S. I miss Erik King's "Doakes" character too. His mannerisms and way of speaking are downright hilarious. He was made for that part.

On an interesting note, they introduced the fire villain 4 episodes ago and then completely forgot about him in the last 2. I was expecting him to play a prominent role on the finale.

Are you talking about the one that dexter killed a few episodes ago. The one that he thought was the fire marshal guy but it ended up being some kid.....?

Dexter didn't kill him, he found him, was going to kill him, but then tipped the cops off. He was arrested.

Damn, I was actually a bit choked up near the end. That never happens. Thank you Zuckuss for the insight into that scene.

Amazing season, I can't wait to see what next year has in store.
