My Cowboys won in overtime against the Steelers. It was a pretty good game, both teams matched up well. Now Dallas is 8-6, two games left and the next one is at home against New Orleans.

The last game is away at Washington. We need both wins to get a playoff position.

Thank you Jacob Tamme and Danario Alexander for getting a big GOOSE EGG and losing the playoffs for me by 9 points...And to crabtree for having the best game of the year... I was 10-2 on the season too, first place all year, Gronk going out really killed me... FML

Here is a prediction.

Pats visit Broncos, Broncos win, Broncos goes to Houston, Bronco's win. The falcons vs broncos in the superbowl. Bronco's win. All 3 teams they lost to in the regular season when Peyton still didn't have his arm strength yet. Revenge is sweet lol. Ok, I can dream but that would make quite the headlines.

Key idea here with Vick, out hurt. Running does not equate to longevity in NFL QB ranks, and Cam is young and huge but odds on his attempts going down each season.

As has been pointed out in other threads, the Vick - RG3 comparison isn't really accurate; namely, b/c RG3 is WAY more of an accurate passer Vick always looked for the homerun play, while RG3 plays it smart & finds the open man--not always relying on his legs. RG3 is a great pocket passer that also happens to have sprinter speed.

Yeah, there are some teams you can automatically throw up a check in the W box even before the season starts........Cleveland, St Louis, Detroit, Jacksonville.......it is more painful to lose to these teams than it is to lose to New York, or Denver.........perennial favorites.

I know I do. When I look at the schedule for Dallas I go through the schedule and look at the teams and go.............win, win, win, maybe, maybe , maybe but it's a home game so yes, maybe but it's an away game so probably not, probably not, gonna be a tough one........etc.........

Detroit, Cleveland, St Louis, Carolina and Jacksonville never enter a conversation doubting a win.....

In the NFC East, there is a chance that there COULD be a three way tie for first place with a final record of 9/7 for Dallas, NY Giants and Washington.

Only one can be Division champ and only one could possibly be a wildcard, assuming it was chosen from that division.

What do they do to determine who goes forward in a situation like that ?

Easy. Head to head record which the giants are on short end of the stick for.... Ie they'd be out.

I'm a bit biased since they beat the Pats at home this season but I think the Cards are actually underrated especially their D. Wisenhunt is fantastic defensive coach and coordinator they just have no QB and that's been their issue for years. They got to the Super Bowl the only year they had a decent passer with Warner, and they even have good WRs... All they need is a QB but easier said than done.

St Louis is actually better than their record shows them to be, I agree.

Record based on what......total points made during the season, least amount of points given up, least amount of penalties ?

Or do they meet together and hash it out among themselves and then determine which two teams are likely to draw the most viewers when the game is broadcast and those teams make it to the playoffsl ?

Here you go:

TO BREAK A TIE WITHIN A DIVISION

If, at the end of the regular season, two or more clubs in the same division finish with identical won-lost-tied percentages, the following steps will be taken until a champion is determined.

Two Clubs

Head-to-head (best won-lost-tied percentage in games between the clubs).
Best won-lost-tied percentage in games played within the division.
Best won-lost-tied percentage in common games.
Best won-lost-tied percentage in games played within the conference.
Strength of victory.
Strength of schedule.
Best combined ranking among conference teams in points scored and points allowed.
Best combined ranking among all teams in points scored and points allowed.
Best net points in common games.
Best net points in all games.
Best net touchdowns in all games.
Coin toss

(I like the 12th tie breaker, haha.)

In order for there to be a 3 way tie in NFC East, NY would have to win on Sunday and as much as the Eagles piss me off, NY is going down...again. I'm so confident that I bet $550 today for the Eagles to WIN and they are the 7 point underdog! Therefore, you're left with 2 teams who have a chance. But the Skins come out on top.

Do you know what head to head record means?
