A lot of people do it like that which is why I'm always suspicious of how many pushups people say they can do when I try to compare to my own numbers.

This is how I do mine:

Very good point. MUCH easier for me to get my chest to the ground than you given my fatness and short arms.

^^^ at the very bottom of your push-up, your arm is at like 90*.. if you compare that to where I was, it's similar

Regardless, I'll redo and focus on the very bottom of it... I'm going to be at such an awk angle at the bottom though

Different angle. I agree you are just about getting to 90 degrees, but the measure of a complete pushup is chest to deck. Us fat dudes have a shorter range of motion, but a lot more weight to move than lighter guys. Long arms suck for pushups no matter what though. I think your 63 is quite impressive, I just think you would get more from it going deeper.

After seeing Chases video, Glights and then my own I see that my form is not full. So maybe 100 easy was incorrect. I will try to do full nose to lock arms tomorrow and see how many I can do.

I can! In fact, I can do about 85 chest-to-ground push-ups in a minutes time. Handstands push-ups are easy; then again, I am a Capoeira guy, and I spend as much time on my hands as I do my feet. I also perform my push-ups like you do (..which is proper form); my elbows are not flared out.

My Ride: Too many to list
Ahh sh1t, I forgot to try this yesterday. I've really been working on my triceps for the last few months, so I'm pretty curious on how many I can do. Maybe I'll try Friday

I dunno dude, I don't think push-ups have much to do with strength. It's impressive to do a lot, I can probably bang out 50 but I usually only plyo when I do push-ups

I used to feel the same way.....

....until I came across a bunch of men who couldn't do any push-ups, or who could only do a few (..I've seen plenty of men struggle to do 20). I think what you meant to imply is that it isn't about brute strength perhaps.

BMW is just bitter I can do more push-ups and would prefer to write it off as a result of something other than being in ok shape.

No. I could care less if you can do more push-ups or lift anything more than me. I don't lift because I want to be stronger than everyone, I lift because I want to be strong. Strong for my personal needs. Get over yourself little push-up boy.

I think it's more of a product of healthy joints and actually caring enough to do the repititions necessary to perform that movement. Ill go head to head with chase doing plyo push-ups while touching your hands behind your head to get him off his high horse.

And chase if you want me to be critical you do your push-ups like a 6th grade school girl. Stop flaring your elbows put and bring them in closer to your to cage. That is a "push" position. You wouldn't push someone with your elbows flared out like that. That's why I don't believe push-ups are a measure of strength

This is an odd question but do you have a cousin or relative with the initials MZ who lives in KC? I know a guy originally from your area who looks very similar.
