OP, I'm pretty sure that you need to mist them everyday and water them thoroughly when you water them...best, I believe, to sit them in a pan of water so the water rises from the bottom. Don't pour water on it from on top, as the soil is so porous, it'll just pour out.

You also need to keep it pruned, even if it's a mango.

you must submerge it 1x/2x a week in water for 10-15 mins. mine died last summer.

My uncle has a tangerine bonsai as well as a kumquat one... With the tangerines you eat the thing whole, the skin is sweet.

I'm growing a black pine right now from the seeds. About a month in and theres not much to see other than a couple sprouts.. will post pics when things get interesting.

Spinning off the tangerine bonsai, are there other small fruit trees that can be grown inside and yield edible fruit?
