I need a suit

I have an Express suit and I love it. Would definitely recommend. The size of the store dictates what suit separates they have in store. My local store had regular fit suit separates in store but I had to drive to the San Francisco location to get the slim fit ones.

I'm probably getting a calvin Klein suit because my friend works there and can get me 40% off.

I got a Express suit when they had their black Friday sale. Bought it online and fits perfectly.


Also got this from Men's Warehouse: (40% off because my aunts employee discount, had to get it tailored to fit well)

banana republic, buy it off the rack and have your tailor work his magic. I spent 1.2K each on 2 hugo suits and they look terrible compared to my budget ones from BR

i spent $700 on a hugo boss suit ... and it is one of my biggest regrets ever


and for everyone who says "such and such suit fits me perfectly"
please post some pictures of you wearing said suit
while i'm sure it works out fine for some, i'm willing to bet that most people are wearing ill fitting suits

banana republic and jcrew suits are not bad in terms of material and overall quality
and both BR and jcrew have 30% sales frequently enough
so if you can get the suit close to $200, then it's good
BUT right now their suits are super trendy with very narrow lapels
by the time solly wears his suit a few times, it may have fallen way out of style
much better to get something that is more classic in styling but have it tailored to fit properly

I am shocked. Paid about $500 for mine (retail was $800???). Best suit I have ever worn. I love my Hugo Boss suit...seriously. Style, quality and its oddly the most comfortable. Maybe I have a fluke?

this is what I'm hoping for. Not a "slim" fitting suit necessarily but one that is a little tighter fitting.

it might work well for you
i loved mine when i first got it... but i didn't know better
hugo boss has done a great job with marketing ... when i was buying $200-300 suits from the low end department store, i always wished i could get a nice hugo boss suit someday
and i did get to that someday and bought myself a hugo boss navy 2 button suit
but after wearing it around ... and after getting more suits
i realized that what i paid for was the name and marketing
not actual quality

$500 is easily doable for hugo boss suits
also remember there are various levels and models within each brand with different price points

Go to burlington, they have a slim fit kenneth cole for 150!!! Its crazy. Good luck
