Does your E46 have rules if you lent it out

Meaning what would you tell the driver if you lent it out

For me I guess it would be

1. Do Not Ever open any of the windows. If you're at a McDonalds drive thru open the door to get your food

2. Premium Fuel only. I will know if you put in regular and come after you.

3. Avoid putting it in Reverse. If you have to put it in Reverse just let it idle don't give it gas. Reverse drum very fragile.

4. Every 90 seconds keep an eye on the temperature gauge. If it goes in red, pull over immediately and tow the car.

5. Whenever you buy fuel, check the oil level.

6. The car is rear wheel drive so no driving like an idiot in the winter

7. Don't pull the door handle towards you, pull at a 45 degree angle to the vertical.

8. Whenever you exit vehicle and are about to shut door, make sure the seat belt isn't in the way.

9. Do not put a pop can in the 2nd cup holder closer to the rear of the vehicle and attempt to use the arm rest.

i dont EVER let anyone borrow my car PERIOD.

Only I drive my car and thats it. No one else has ever lol

Is this to prevent breaking window regulators?

No one borrows my car. Ever. Back when it was lower than it is now I had nightmares about stupid friends borrowing it and ripping off the front bumper.

Why? I store pop cans there all the time and they're secure.

i put a can in that one all the time and it never opens the armrest storage..

It does. At least in my car. Because when you push down on the armrest, the latch moves down towards the can which pushes it open.

probably wouldn't want to burrow your car anymore with that many regulations lol

I have my driver's side window regulator zip tied and jb-welded, still makes a slight pop when rolling down...always gets me nervous that it's going to break on its way up

Thanks for the thread... daughter coming into town for the holiday and going to drive the wife's car... I guess I should not worry, she has a 2007 330i... but she is still and idiot with the way she drives in Las Vegas.... I know it will need new brakes when she leaves! I better put gas in it tonight..Premium! Stupid women!

Mine does not have a taxi sign on the roof, I do not lend it to anyone. Besides, it's having a few issues and I wouldn't want anyone to be stranded.

No rules for me, i drive my car usually, once in a while my brother and father will. Both have BMW's as well. No point of rules, if i don't trust someone, they don't drive it.

I rarely lend my out. There is no reason to all i use it for is a track toy. Rides like crap on the road but if some one does borrow it and they feel like giving me gas in return its gotta be 94 octane

I don't lend out my car. The only other one that drives my car is my wife.

How about NO ONE drives my car. Ever. except my Dad and my GF if im wasted...
