I have to wait until Sunday to DL because I've taken some young whipper snapperz under my wing. One of them came up to me during a workout and asked for advice. He claimed that they've been wanting to approach me for weeks, but were intimidated. At any rate, I offered to assist them........ushering me into my current circumstance. They've worked out with me twice so far, and I'm pushing them and correcting form. I really hate working out with people on a regular basis though (..I don't always feel up to conversation, and I want to zone out), so once I help these guys develop a good base where their form is concerned, I will gracefully make myself unavailable - which is really easy to do - and let them carve their own paths. Why did I sound like a jerk right now?

I like it. You're doing the BIG-UCE deadlift. Props.

You're not being a jerk. Teaching a man to fish doesn't mean he has to be your new fishing buddy.

Fvck that. I never help anyone workout. Haha if I feel that they can keep up and match my intensity, which has only been a couple of good buddies so far, then ill gladly help. But I really am not very helpful usually

I looked at that after I posted the picture and busted up laughing. Between that and the featherweight dumbbells on the floor, I'm looking like a real badass. That's what I get for entering somebody's novice lifting zone to snap a photo.

I did clear 440 lbs. yesterday!

If the joke didn't come from you, it would have come from DylloS.

Thanks for the congrats. Slow & steady ascension.

I'm trying....you strong f*cker you! I also finally fixed another component of my clean today. The mechanics are finally coming together. Hopefully this will result in much improved numbers.

In other news, my squat numbers dropped drastically today. I struggled with 375 lbs.; I only mustered two sets of 3. This is the second time that I've noticed a significant decrease in my strength from not eating due to relationship issues. The first occurred when I struggled with 335 lbs. on the bench Friday. I have been eating once, maybe twice a day tops, and I have been severely under calories. I lost 2 pounds!!! I was 184 lbs. AFTER eating chicken and rice for breakfast and drinking water during my lifting session. This is all bad! I treated myself to a steak, mashed potatoes, broccoli, chicken strips and a strawberry shortcake tonight at TGIF, then ate a bag of chips and some Gummi Savers. I need to fix this calorie deficit bullsh|t, and fast!!!

truthfully dude, your clean numbers won't get great until you can actually drop the weights. Me and my boy have a bunch we bought so well start using those when we move in a few weeks.
