The similarities are not vague at all. First responders respond to an emergency and are deliberately targeted and in many cases killed. There is no separation in the events, only in the reactions of bystanders like those irritated with me in this thread.

My brother-in-law who is moreso considered a brother is a firefighter here in TX and I can't even fathom why in the hell one could do this to local Heros. This has been a terrible month for the innocent.

In all wars, there is collateral damage. However, that doesn't make it right. That said, the Drone is actually a great tool in reducing collateral damage b/c of its precision.

Figures in 2012 show that there has been approx 2% in civilian deaths. The total, since 2004, has been between 14-17%. That is quite low when compared to WWII and Vietnam when carpet bombing was used.

Additionally, Drone use is quite efficient. Not only does it reduce collateral damage, it allows access to remote areas that are inaccessible and/or would cost significant amounts in resources and human life to go after targets.

Also, there are inconsistencies in reported civilian deaths. Where the "civilians" where not civilians at all, but Taliban. But I guess a man's terrorist is another man's freedom fighter.

We target funerals because of an unusually high probability of success because these folks would otherwise not be in public. They double tap strikes to ensure the target is finished. It impacts first responders but does not "target" them. How this is linked to shooting firefighters responding to a blaze makes no sense to me?

We also target funerals b/c Taliban leadership shows up and we can kill several of them in one place, at one time.
