Okay, so the firefighters in other nations responding to the fires caused by our drone strikes aren't worth as much as their American counterparts? Get real.

Why not keep this thread on topic and not make it political by arbitrarily comparing it Drone strikes through some vague similarities.

I don't even care if you're right. Changing the thread topic to push your agenda makes you a tard. And, concerning these firefighters, a disrespectful one at that.

It is truly stunning to me how ignorant and naive people can be when presented with the truth. You all need to get over yourselves. Your imagined self importance is truly repulsive.

I see the correlation with your post man... But I do know as a OIF/OEF Vet, the double tap tactic was indeed introduced by the same people you are professing to be the victims.

Why? What's your take on it? Seems you'd rather stick your head in the sand and pretend it's not real.

The similarities are not vague at all. First responders respond to an emergency and are deliberately targeted and in many cases killed. There is no separation in the events, only in the reactions of bystanders like those irritated with me in this thread.

I'm sure a lot of firefighters in Hiroshima died, but it isn't relevant to this thread. Your astute perception of others that ignore the "truth" is the same self-importance you claim to be disgusted by.

My brother-in-law who is moreso considered a brother is a firefighter here in TX and I can't even fathom why in the hell one could do this to local Heros. This has been a terrible month for the innocent.

so you're a Drone warfare expert now from reading an article? And what imagined self importance? The hypocrite here I see is you, calling us ignorant and naive.

so lets talk Drone warfare:

In all wars, there is collateral damage. However, that doesn't make it right. That said, the Drone is actually a great tool in reducing collateral damage b/c of its precision.

Figures in 2012 show that there has been approx 2% in civilian deaths. The total, since 2004, has been between 14-17%. That is quite low when compared to WWII and Vietnam when carpet bombing was used.

http://counterterrorism.newamerica.net/drones

Additionally, Drone use is quite efficient. Not only does it reduce collateral damage, it allows access to remote areas that are inaccessible and/or would cost significant amounts in resources and human life to go after targets.

Also, there are inconsistencies in reported civilian deaths. Where the "civilians" where not civilians at all, but Taliban. But I guess a man's terrorist is another man's freedom fighter.

We target funerals because of an unusually high probability of success because these folks would otherwise not be in public. They double tap strikes to ensure the target is finished. It impacts first responders but does not "target" them. How this is linked to shooting firefighters responding to a blaze makes no sense to me?

Lots of bridges out there, find one to fall off of. Merry Christmas!

We also target funerals b/c Taliban leadership shows up and we can kill several of them in one place, at one time.
