Cheapest you can do is $100 shipped for the projectors from ebay, $32 for the hid kit with bulb, $15 for the shrouds $30 for the wire harness if you want to use one

So $147 or $177

I'm talking about complete kits that have HIDs, projectors, angel eyes, harness, shrouds

Shrouds don't make any difference, they might just look better when the lights are off.

So Jake I'm thinking about doing quads too... What is the set-up? Do you leave the cutoffs out of the high beams? Or do you just have 4 lights with cutoffs and not really have high beams?

I actually ran into a problem with my quad setup so I might revert back. The low beams are leveled properly, but the extra projectors cannot be aimed properly.

Quick questons.
Is glue really needed for the shrouds?
How do you aim the projectors? I searched, but couldn't any info.

I just completed mine with the H1 projectors with the E46-r shrouds and I gotta say I wish I would've done this a while ago. I tried to shave down the centric rings that came from TRS but I couldn't get the shrouds to stay over the projector so I ended up using glue to get it to stay put (make sure to wipe any excess off the projector glass).

As far as aiming, I just turned the adjuster (looks like a little spiked wheel) on top of the headlight assembly just like I would with my previous halogens. Just make sure not to put it too high, you don't want to blind anyone.

Thanks again to everyone on here!

Kevin

Did the black painting of the shrouds effect the lighting? Like distance of the beam?

They offer it with a standard shroud, not the E46-R one that is best suited for E46 look.

On the first page of this thread, you can see the projector on its own (no shroud) as he installs it.

As you go down, he gets to the part where he is spray painting the shrouds black, and in the new few photos you will see the shroud around the projector (camera lens looking thing). That is the E46-R shroud that alot of people use.

Otherwise the lights comes with a much smaller shroud as you would see with the kit you were looking at buying.

Basically, the standard one is alot smaller, and wont cover the projector (and your old silver reflector) properly or as well as the E46-R will. But it will still work and fit..

Does it effect performance?

I am confused about which harness I need, some people are saying 9006? TRS told me H7?

2002 Sedan (Facelift), OEM Halogen, just upgrading to one set of Morimoto H1s for now.

I am ordering:

Mini H1 projectors
E46-r Shrouds
Wiring Harness

Already have H1 HID kit.

Just need to confirm which harness? Cheers.

This one?
