I received two scopes from my in-laws. A Nikon ProStaff Rimfire 1-4x and a Nikon ProStaff 3-9x. They are both Obama loving liberals, and had no idea what they were buying me.

Do I get extra Pro-2A points for that?

my girl got me some noveske/bcm upper parts and an "ak47 bullet" ice cube tray. i made some, sadly they are not to spec.

My parents got me an FNH FNS-9 for Christmas. I can't wait to try it out! I'll be doing some target shooting tomorrow. I've got a few rifles but this is my first hand gun. Got my CCW a few weeks ago and have a "handgun" self defense intro class coming up soon. I'm pumped about getting into the new hobby.

Agree. Ccw no longer becomes an activity or hobby but a lifestyle. It's no small task to strap a hot firearm on you hip.

No by hobby I mean going to the shooting range and getting more into firearms in general. Just pointed out the CCW permit and the training class because I'm fairly new this stuff. I'm not carrying yet until I have more experience.

Just bought myself a Ruger American 30.06 deer rifle on Saturday. With Obama's AWB gun sale of the century in full swing, the background check took two full days. Normally it's 5 minutes. I still have to go back and pick it up.

From what I've read, the American is supposed to be pretty decent for the price ($320). People are getting just around 1 MOA. Only 6.3 lbs. I went with 30.06 because I wanted an all around decent deer rifle that I could also use for elk with heavier rounds.

Here in Oregon it's every time you buy a gun. You fill out a 4473 and they make a call to the state police for the background check. Most places charge $10.

Whatever you can find. I prefer to use Lake City XM193 and PMC X-Tac, but it's very difficult to find right now (just like everything).

I was wondering if anyone knew of any places with in-stock .223 ammo, I might try and make it to the local shop tomorrow, but he's probably sold out of .223 also at this point... I've only got about enough to load 5-6 mags at most, barely a range day there.

Our local shop has frangible in stock, that's it.

that's all the walmart's and such have had too. I'm really wishing I would have dropped the cash for a can of 2k rds when I got the gun before it all went nuts. Obama's re-election triggered a much more mild run on ammo too, and it was scarce then, now there's nothing
