...and just to add to my earlier post

It is for this reason that cops generally come on strong (..much to the chagrin of the motorist, detainee, etc.)......stronger than what is really necessary at times. It's to establish dominance and put the officer on the offensive (..even if that officer is scared sh|tless, his/her demeanor may not reflect that). The average person starts to buckle and/or unravel when people speak strongly; the academies are full of nothing but belittlement and yelling, so an officer becomes largely desensitized.

And my point is, when you're a cop dealing with urban idiots.....LOOKS OFTEN CAN MEAN THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN AN ASSAULT - OR WORSE - AND JUST A SIDEWAYS LOOK. I don't care how legit you are on the mat, you can and will catch an ass whoopin' from the untrained. A significant part of the police and fire population train something (..usually BJJ, Boxing or Muay Thai), and not one of them is going to go toe-to-toe unless it is a last resort, they don't have a weapon, and it's a fight or die situation. They are smart enough to know that training doesn't always stop a corner thug.

So you're saying cops come off as douche bags to scare the people they are making contact with? I wonder why no one likes them.

You call it douche baggery, I call it officer safety. Strong tonation does not necessarily mean that he/she is being a douche. FWIW, rarely is anybody happy with police contact because it is generally negative. They wouldn't be liked regardless. It comes with the job!

Let's get back on topic though. The car has been found. Yippee!

I guess I could only understand if I was a LEO, and I'm very glad it was found with minimal parts stripped! Walker is a great guy and has some serious talent! Glad he can keep competing, that car is a monster.

I'm sure that you're good...or even great, but there is somebody in the street that is better. There always is!

...and that's when we lose an officer.

I am curious about what was stripped from the car though. It just doesn't make any sense NOT to take the parts of the car that are worth the most. If I were a criminal, I sure wouldn't risk jail time for some extended wheel arches and a f*cking Sparco steering wheel.

i think when crimes like this occur we just expect them to be professionals because in our minds it would be really stupid unless it was extremely well planned
