Orion V4 night controller wiring.
Yes I have search, and searched, and even searched a little more the past few days.
Was getting the V2s but umnitza called and said they were out of stock and bumped me up to the V4s. So this means I'm getting the night controller, where do I wire it? I know it's wired to the low beams, and I know which wire on the orion harness itself, but what wire on the car? Pics would be great. |

No angel eyes are ever wired to the low beam.
This is the DIY for the angel eyes themselves http://www.fastm.com/m3/angeleyes_orionv2.html Can you post a pic of the night controller wiring? I've done a ton of installs but not the V4's

It's suppose to be where when the low beams come on, the rings dim to 70%
According to this, it's tapped into the low beam wire. Seems simple? Just odd. IT'S E and D. Last edited by GATORSHOES2; 12-26-2012 at 10:42 AM. |

This is correct, you are supposed to wire to the low beam positive so that the angel eyes dim when the headlights are on. SolidJake, this is NOT the case with the V2s as you pointed out.
This step is totally optional though. I didn't do it on my V4s. I like them bright!

Everything is wired up and looks great! I did skip the dimming option for now as the end on the white wire wont plug into the provided wire taps...
So I have to go get my own wire taps for that. But I might just tape off the ends and avoid it all together. |

Got dark on me and the iphone won't take a very good picture from a distance.
Here's a close up for now. ![]() Lights are a pure white, with a very slight blue tint. But I have 6000k xenons so it matches perfect. Some people have complained about the V4s being too blue? I only see that problem in a refection of the lights. So far i'm very happy with the V4s. Looking to get my LED tails from you guys over at umnitza. |

So I just installed my V2 with Night Controller, but I haven't connected my white wire, as I'm unsure if the yellow wire in this picture is the one I want to connect it to. Can someone confirm this is the right one? Yellow wire on the big connector, correct?

After getting everything wired and saw the length of the night controller wire "white" I knew it was going to be right where you show in the picture, and the other wire is brown/dark right? If so then yes the positive is the yellow you showed. |
