Anyone recommend a good place for tires? Discount Tire is consistent in messing up so I want to go around that. Close to Parker would be nice....

Go through Tirerack.com. They should have shop loyalty/ recommendations so the tires get delivered there.

How did everyone's x-drive do in the snow last week?

I drove my wife's E90 in the snow for the first time and I was surprised at how stable & competent it was. Much better than the Maxima sled that it replaced. Of course I was still able to do some power-slides around the neighborhood, but they were all intentional.

Hi!

This was the first snow I've driven in my xi, and it rocked! Just picked up an 02' 325xit with sport/premium/winter packages, flew out to Seattle to drive it back last weekend. I previously had a 90' ix, and the AWD systems are clearly quite different, but I'm thrilled so far. Also, I just got a new set of snow tires, it feels unstoppable!

Nice. I have an 03 xiT (winter package only) with new winter tires. This was my first good drive in the snow and it was great also. Congrats on the new ride. How many miles?

Glad its working out for you! Mine has 162,000 very, very well maintained miles. Pretty much OCD/Enthusiast owned prior to me, all the major trouble spots have been sorted out with an incredible history, ready for another bazillion miles with me!

For comparison, I got the General Altimax Arctic tires on my stock style 73 wheels. I went with these tires as they killed it with my E30, which I bought by chance off of craigslist. After researching along with my experience, these ones fit the bill.

Sorry if this doesn't go to the right place or there's a thread on this already, but I can't seem to find one. As I'm sure all of us know who live a mile high or above, we lose HP by living in this awesome State. Are there some reccomended/proven things to do to try to get some of that HP back? I just got my /05 M3 from EAG in Cinci and it's awesome. I just feel like I'm missing 35-50 HP just from being up here where there's no O2. Thanks for listening, I'll get some pics up soon.

Yeah, Trying to stay away from any forced induction for a few reasons, biggest being $$$$. It's an M3 so it doesn't feel slow, just wondering if there's some high-altitude tricks I should know about. Might look into a custom tune even on the 100% stock motor.

I'd recommend bolt on's with a tune to compensate if you're not wanting to spend lots of money. I'd start with headers as those will make the most noticeable difference.

Is or was your M3 silver with white csl wheels an you got rear ended? Cause that car is at my brothers shop. Sorry about what happened to your M.
