Ehh. I bought a 64gb iPhone and got 57gb of space. No one is innocent.

Microsoft has pegged prices of the Surface Pro at $899 for a model with 64GB of flash RAM-based storage space,
and $999 for a unit with 128GB.

The prices do not include a keyboard-cum-cover, which Microsoft sells at $120 and $130

with the lower-priced version assigned to the membrane-style Touch Cover and the higher to the more traditional moving-keystroke Type Cover.

With a keyboard -- and few buyers will eschew one --
the Surface Pro prices out at between $1,019 and $1,129. That's not tablet territory.

"Microsoft won't drive a lot of volume with Surface Pro compared to the iPad and 7-in Android tablets, but will profitably sell units more in line with ultrabook levels," said Moorhead

been looking at the lenovo yoga but still awaiting the release of surface pro

For comparisons about the price.

The Surface Pro would be at $ 899 + $ 100 keyboard = $ 1000 just for this Surface pro. I think i'd rather just stick with a top of the line laptop that can do alot more at this price!

The professional version looks awesome.

Would run the same Windows which would run on a corporate pc and adhere to network group policy, normal drivers and one license for desktop and mobile device.

If this device is what MS claims, this could effectively kill Apple as a potential tablet threat on the corporate level. I would rock a Surface as a laptop and tablet in one, have a desktop PC at work. Everything is simplified, no more playing the stupid app middle man game, I would just use full blown programs and give my iPad to a kid who wants to play fruit ninja.

Top of the line laptops are not $1000.

Not a big fan of windows 8 on the surface rt. But seeing it for $39.99 download or 69.99 for the dvd upgrade, I may upgrade my laptop. anyone have any insight on the new windows?

You'll regret it. Windows 8 without a touch screen is absolute garbage

I'd rock the Surface Pro.

my current laptop is $5-6k. I rarely travel with it and take my ipad instead. The ipad is barely functional for work emails (need outlook), word processing is Ok, the only good things is the PDF viewer.

Little things bug me on the ipad like connectivity. I get it, I don't have internet, let me type this email without a stupid popup every 5 seconds.

Maps-Location is improved with wifi--OK, I get it. stop reminding me.

Man the lenovo yoga is looking very promising too! Im sort of worried about the surface, as the RT sibling hasn't been rocking the tech world lately and the whole 4 hour battery debacle for a "tablet".

The lenovo yoga looks downright professional. The specs

Runs regular desktop Windows 8 too.
