If you build it as a SSE from an 80% as long as the lower never a rifle. aka, it never had a buttstock

there is not buttstock. they're pistols. if they had buttstocks they would be SBR's which are illegal without the right tax stamps.

That is the bufer tube. Inside there's a spring with a weight. When the gas system blows back it pushes back the bcg (bolt carrier group) which pushes against the weight and the spring. This absorbs any kick the gun has and then pushes the bcg forward chambering the next round

Same here. I didn't even fire an ar until after i already dros'd my lowers one of my friends has a preban though. I've really been wanting to go shooting with him. Just need to find the time

btw, i simplified the build process. Please be very careful building one. there's a specific steps and processes you need to complete in order to do it right. They're not illegal therefore they're legal :/ I figure they'll get banned eventually so i might as well

Yea, it's a pretty cool system. almost no kick. It's really anticlimatic shooting one for the first time. unless you're standing to the side of the shooter...then it rattles your fillings loose.

Build an AR or an AR pistol?

I doubt anything major will happen but then again if Feinstein's AWB passes you're almost better off not having an AR.

Watchlists everywhere, and they *might* go all out and start confiscating them

ar pistol.

I've seen it go both ways. I don't think there's any way they could legally take them away though.
