If you're going to paint anything you should paint the calipers. But I wouldn't paint any of it personally.

Sometimes the hats come painted, but that's because the hats are more of a structural piece. The actual rotor needs to dissipate heat as efficiently as possible. If the rotor sees alot of heat, that paint isn't going to look very nice.

you would paint the hats for anti corrosion purposes, Quality manufacturers though will put something along the lines of an e-coating on the hats.

you're not supposed to contaminate the brake pads. with anything on the actual braking surface. for more info check out Greensboro bmw service

I think it's more the worry about chemically or physically impregnating the pad or rotor. I could care less what that person with the yellow rotor does or you do, I know I try not to contaminate the braking surface with anything because when I brake I feel better knowing that it's whatever compound pad it is clamping upon whatever compound the rotor is.

Oh another one, you don't switch back and forth from semi-metallic pads to ceramic pads. For the same reason I can't explain. I am sure there is a scientific explanation, I don't know. I've been on a laser engineering forum all night.

Well I sure as hell wouldn't be around 2 fighting dogs and a bull... and sure wouldn't be near a bull that just killed 2 fighting dogs.

I don't know **** about fighting dogs so I am guessing there isn't some type of word of phrase that stops them?
