My Ride: 2001 330cic
My E46 maybe dead

Proud owner of a 2001 330cic with the M package, just hit 95k miles. Was in good knick but alternator went, fuel pump and a damaged radiator fan too.

Still overheating! Brought to a second mechanic, maybe cylinder head or gasket. 25 hrs of labor! I'm not a petrol head but I took very good care of this car, only had 28k miles on it when I got it in 2009.

Anyone know of similar problems with overheating engine even after alt, rad, & fuel pump were changed?!?

Anyone know a good place to get a replacement M54B30 engine if I decide to go that route?? (on the east coast).

Cheers,
Drew.

PS I'll post some pics tomorrow, could be "funeral" pics.

Yea, too much. I bet the mechanic didn't bleed the air out properly so it wouldn't overheat.

If you want to do some maintenance by yourself,I suggest you buy some Car Diagnostic Tools.
