16:9 head unit
Not sure if its the head unit or something else, when I got the car it had a blown fuse, I replaced the fuse and the head unit screen lights up, I can hook up my phone to the dice connector and it will start playing (I just get static if it is on the radio)
$300 for head unit and amp (I think your tuner should work) and I can include the mkiii however the cd is not in it and I have read that they are easily fried? You cover the shipping and paypal fees, if it doesn't work I will refund your money and pay for you to send it back to me. This will come with Head unit (16:9 cassette player behind screen) Dice connector (plastic on the side is chipped, but no wires show) Amp MKiii if you want it Tuner if you want it Would gladly trade for an aftermarket double din with integrated blue tooth. |

Ok, after reading the mkiii nav blank screen radio ok thread on xoutpost I believe the mkiii unit is fried, the previous owner said the battery did die on him, from what I have read this fries the mkiii navigation which also controls what comes up on the screen, but not the radio.

IT WORKS! I was driving home from work and the screen was flickering, so when I got home I started fiddling with the connections and pushed them in and TaDa BMW came up on the screen!
However that's it. However the head unit is not the issue, definitely the nav unit. |

I don't know what model the dice is.
98 bimmer, do you mean the harness that runs from the head unit to the back? If so, no that would require me to remove my whole interior and I don't want to do that, yet. I would be very surprised if all bmw's aren't already wire though. |

To my understanding, it needs Mk3 drive and wire harness correct?

The harness is in the car, I'm not sure why the nav doesn't come on, but if you want I can pull everything and send it all.
