nah sick of the sh!t beam pattern out of the halogen projectors. always wanted halo's but didnt wanna bakemy headlights. this is the best solution. im gonna bite the bullet and order from umnitza in the new year. they install the FX-R's and AE's so...........its my best option.

No idea what FX-R Umnitza will use. They are a replica of Infinity's HID projectors however I think there are many sources of fakes as well. The Morimoto branding is actually TRS's.

Its hard to find a specific 'category' for this type of work. In the US they have dedicated shops which specialize in headlight retrofits.

I guess the P46 might be the PnP way out. Im still wery of their quality compared to OEM. The materials used in the OEM headlights are second to none.

Baking and doing AE's is actually the easiest part I reckon. Actually cutting away at the frame and getting the projector location right is a matter of trial and error.

One experienced with retrofitting will still need a good day solidly working away.

We use the same FXR as TRS does, same source. Exactly the same - the only difference is ours isn't stamped with a name on it. Otherwise, they are identical.

Also, this from a recent customer

I wanted to see if there was a difference and there is.
The Umnitza 55w is definitely brighter than the Morimoto 5five.
Here is a photo of a wall shot. Morimoto is drivers side and Umnitza can bus 55w on the passenger.
The Morimoto is actually dimmer than the Umnitza 55w. I would say 10-15% difference. My buddy was really impressed with the Umnitza ballast.
I believe the Morimoto 5five is a true 50w and correct me if im wrong the Umnitza can bus is a 55w? I really don't think 5w difference is making the headlight that much brighter and crisper.
In person you can clearly see a difference. Especially on the sides further from the cutoff. Also note, drivers side Morimoto is not as crisp and white and it has to much blue spectrum on the top of the cuttoff.
Please if you have any questions, email us.

i know umnitza have had nothing but bad press here but i really want the FX-R's and this way they come pre-installed!!! costs more but i save on labor and will also have angel eyes and can then sell my oem headlights so it balances out

ive called a few autoelectricians and no one wants to take the task on, and if they do they are charging $70 an hour for as long as it takes so..............i think a retrofit to my OEM housing is out

They look good in Pic #3 in that link. In Pic #2 it looks like they're too "dotted"

We have reliable shipping based on USPS Global Priority and Global Express.
We further offer an option of Fedex Economy at higher rates.
If you choose a less reliable shipping option like USPS First Class or Envelope, we do not guarantee delivery (as was the case in 2 such shipments that caused issues in the past).

From what I read so far, retrofit mini morimoto is simple and effective.
I myself think of doing this. It does not seem too hard. If you want, we order and you come to my place and I will help you out.

IS a mini h1 a suitable replacement given there's already a projector mounted? (Not familiar with the backside of a facelift headlight)

Yeah, I know, I have them. But facelift coupe's (i.e. Aaron) have a halogen projector already mounted.
