Hey what shop did this install for you and the custom drive shaft?

Do you have any details about how the drive shaft had to be modified in order to fit with your transmission?
I'm considering doing this on my 325i since I have a bad drive shaft U-joint and I also happen to have access to a wrecked M3 that has a good rear-end.

Bumping an old thread here.
So my car is a 6MT...If I were to get an M3 rear end assembly, my drive shaft *should* bolt correctly onto the M3 LSD right? (assuming that I'd swap out the input flanges so the bolt pattern matches of course) |

Yes, 6spd cars won't need custom work as far as I know

Looking on real OEM...
M3 driveshaft is 1404mm long 330 6SP driveshaft if 1403mm long. So the 330 6SP driveshaft is 1mm shorter..is that an issue or good to go? |

^That's what I was told, but don;t take my word for it. Ask knowledgeable techs if a 1mm difference is negligible.

i would say it's negligible. The driveshaft plunges and I can't possibly see how 1mm would be something to get worked up over. Don't sweat it.
