That IMO is not a good method. Especially if your car is fairly dirty you will do more harm than good. Notice how clean porsche was. I could only see this method being ok if your car was just a bit dusty. Anything more and forget about it.

I agree with you on this method. I do something similar to this when the cars I work on just have a light dusting and are (for the most part) relatively clean. For dirty cars, the only safe way (i have found) is to use the two bucket wash with a microfiber glove after I hit em with the foam gun.
