I need a valve adjustment and check on a possible vacum leak according to a code read from a indie shop that said " oh your fine its probably nothing just a sensor ''? maybe we can look into it when we do the lcm flash

Friend was having low oil pressure with his E61. He figured that the engine was gunked up after seeing under his valve cover. We tried 50/50 mix of atf and oil and she would run fine. But as soon as you put regular oil in it you would get low oil pressure within 30 secs. So i proceeded to take apart the car. Removed valve cover and oil pan. Car is awd so it was more involved.








Dropped oil pan to fine this lodged in the oil pick up.




And this sitting in the oil pan.


Only guess is that whoever worked on this car before for the po (as my friend is a new owner, only had it a couple months) dropped this stuff in the timing chain valley? I don't see any other way of this stuff getting in the pan. While it is apart i will be cleaning the top and bottom to get rid of as much as possible oil gunk.

Dang... thats crazy. Still have those brakes for sale lol fyi!!!

Cleaning it up. Should finally get the car back together. Parts should be in today or tomorrow.
