idk if this would interest you guys, but this is the cockpit view off to Japan from Ankorage in a 747 in comparison to Germany to California in the new Airbus A380. The 747 video was taken in 2011, and you can see how ancient the cockpit it compared to the A380, which is interesting since they only realistically update everything for the passengers, and not the pilots

They drive really well. Smoother and peppier than M54s. Later ones are better than earlier ones.
Early heads had issues with oil flow to lifters (similar to M52s and some M54s) but later ones got updated lifters and then updated heads. Early head bolts were also prone to breaking.
The Valvetronic system is probably the most unreliable part, especially the eccentric shaft sensor. Requires taking the valve cover off to change it, which is a lot more annoying than an M50-series motor, but not the end of the world.

lol it's funny how when BB became popular, they didn't care that they drove a lot of little electronic stores out of business, but when Amazon became popular, they cried about how Amazon had an unfair advantage.

BB is the worst electronic store. I hope they go under.
