not really. In SB there is Supa Cookas(SP?) that is just as good and cheaper than Freebirds. People just like Freebirds because they are open real late and everyone is fine shelling out $14.00 for a late night burrito when they are blacked out.

Chipotle is okay for what it is, but I would rather get a burrito from a stereotypical robertos/norbertos/jalapenos taqueria that are all over california.

They charge 14 dollars now? I used to pay 4.99. I lived in the transfer Dorn on the right side of fireebirds. I think the street was cordoba

I agree. It's like a whole different food. Like pizza hut next to NY style pizza. Both are good but they are very different.

Around here in New England and especially Boston, Chipotle is the best of the chain choices. Boloco, Qdoba and all the other tanquerias are either lacking quality and fade or over priced. Chipotle is about $6-7 for anything on the menu... Better than over $20 for two people at most other places. Barbacoa fajita burritos from Chipotle are my favorite there.

I seem to remember them being only about $5-$7, but this was when they were just starting out in Texas maybe about 8 years ago.....wouldnt go there now if its $14!!!!

There is no chipotle in my area...and sadly...I've never been witness to it's glory. But after reading this thread...I'm making it a point to get me some chipotle

It's okay. A better burrito can be made in your own kitchen.

Problem with that is that the only one who goes in the kitchen in my house is the fiance (as it should be) and she doesn't like mexican.

I do all the cooking so it's not a problem in my house.
