AA Stage II 330Ci Build

I now have 600miles on the kit and so far so good! I'll tell you one thing, it is faster than a stock E46 M3 :-) I played around with my buddy's M3 and beat it over and over again. I've been busy this week training at BMW of North Americas HQ but hopefully will have time this weekend to take a few videos for you guys.

Own an E90 M3 and a s/c'd 330. A s/c'd 330 will not beat an E9X M3. Especially over 100mph where the M3 gearing and 8k+ redline is such an advantage. As I'm finding out, just throw in 4.10 gears in an E46 M3 and it will pull about even...might even be faster.

Interesting .. How much are you putting down with the twin screw? Under 350whp? Do you think over 350 whp could take a e92 m3? Trippin has stage 2 setup and cams so it seems it would be a great race .. Still that s65 is a beast

340whp the last time it was dyno'd. I'm sure I could eek out more power but I also face more risk in my application

I would guess you'd have to be close to 380-400whp. First, they have more tire and grip. Then M3s are geared shorter which could actually be a disadvantage but then it revs to 8300 rpm. When I mean rev, it pulls hard to redline. Then if the M3 is DCT, the shifts are so quick that an upshift doesn't even slow the momentum at all. Then the engine revs to quickly, it doesn't matter.

I can keep pace with an E9X M3 on the straight but DCT cars will pull a bit with each shift (mine and them). But then I dive bomb them into the corners and then pass...only to hold them up on the straights. But I usually pull away after every corner.

Trippin also has an automatic transmission, so he loses this race by default. Who puts FI on an automatic car anyway?

I was at 350rwhp with my ESS twinscrew and I was about even with a E90 M3 manual on a freeway pull. Gotta love the torque and boost characteristics of a twinscrew!

Well either your e46 handles better than the new generation, or your just a better driver!

About the same experience with me on the track.

After seeing this thread again I think I might go back to an E46
