mix matched tires
I am trying to purchase a used set of tires to install on my new rims.
Since I need a staggered setup I might end up buying 2 different type of tires for front/rear. I am currently looking at a set of Yoko S Drives for the front and General Exclaim UHP for rears. How do you guys think those would work together? I don't track or drive aggressive. |

Those are two completely different types of tires... I wouldn't recommend that combo at all. Can you get around? Sure. But the S.Drives are summer performance tires, and the UHPs are all-seasons if I recall correctly.

I don't think the Exclaims are all season, they are UHP, Ultra High Performance tires..
Thanks for the input. Maybe I'll just bite the bullet and buy new tires right away. Looking at the General G-Max As-03 right now...look interesting |

Either way, if you are going to mix and match tires you should probably stick to either all-seasons or summers, and not mix the two.

Ok, thanks...honestly I don't know why I am wasting my time...I guess I am bored at work. I should order a new set of tires.

Sometimes you can find good deals on tires when you look. No harm in asking questions.
![]() Ordering a new set of tires though would ensure you get exactly what you pay for.

Yeah, you never know. I just emailed a guy around the corner from me who has a staggered setup for sale
General Exclaim UHP 225/40/48 Yokohama Avid ENVigor 255/35/18 I will go take a look them. He works at a big tire dealer, so I should be able to get them installed free, or no deal. |

Just saw tires, not very good shape.
I guess I will go new & stop wasting everyone and my own time on this foolish search. |
