USB playback - opinions needed please

Hey guys, I have a stock BMW Nav system, and would like to keep it if possible, but add the ability to play USB sticks or SD cards via purchasing some sort of 'adapter'. I see that the DICE mediabridge would work, but I was looking to find something a little cheaper as I don't really need a lot of the functionality that it provides (Bluetooth, Sirius).

All I really care about is having a good interface to navigate folders on the storage, hopefully working steering wheel controls, and obviously display of the media on my screen.

What are the best options out there?

Comments much appreciated....

The Grom unit was the only other one I found which I think may work for me. Does anyone have any experience with both the Grom and Dice Mediabridge systems? From what I have read, the Mediabridge may have a better interface for navigation, but I like the ease of the install of the Grom, and it's quite a bit cheaper... Are there any major differences in sound quality between the two?

My first post, so bear with me. I installed an AUX adapter (http://www.oemautosound.com/pc-292-8...mw-radios.aspx) several years ago that plugs in where the CD changer would go. Used to use if with a portable MP3 player. Last year I added a Kenwood KOS-A300 (http://www.crutchfield.com/p_113KOSA...em.html?tp=119) for only $50. I don't have any pics of it installed, but I mounted the controller, display and USB connector in the pouch above the ashtray._nr_
