My Ride: 2000 328i tiptronic
I recently had a similar issue - my problem was the crank sensor, infact thats a lie.... my PROBLEMS turned out to be crank sensor fail, cam sensor fail and now it looks like fuel pump fail!! all in 4 days.

The issue you have is that it could be fuel delivery related also which opens up another can of worms. I am lucky i have managed to diagnose the issue quite quickly although saying that, I won't know if shes cured until tomorrow......

Whats the milage?? Mines a '00 328i tiptronic, still just under 140k
