hmmm I might want in on this ammo. bought 400 rds of 5.56 at $0.66 a round today and the local shop. which is the only place I've found any so I jumped on it, couldn't stomach the $640 ish for the 1000 rounds though, yikes.

we can buy it in smaller sums than 1000 rounds right? like 500?

Almost bought a Noveske 8.2 inch 300blk upper today. Right price, in stock...wrong style. It was the NSR version with the proprietary rail system which I don't want. Looking for the lo-pro full rail version of the same upper. So close, and yet, so far...

I've made some progress.

I went from my wife being pissed that I spent "$500" on my AR-15 for the past two weeks to where she stopped and bought some 5.56 ammo at a Gander Mountain today. Ends up at $0.60/round before tax.

...in another story, maaan I am pissed. I have been calling 3 Gander Mountain stores within 45 minutes of me every 2-days or so... The two of them expected Pmags in today. One got them, one did not... Spoke to them at 10am "Please call back anytime after Noon - we're still unloading the truck" and they were willing to hold 2 for me.... to around 1pm or so... "Yeah, we had them out for about 10 minutes - one guy ended up buying all 20 of them..." That bastard...

i have 5 different websites i have been checking waiting for the 13.5 to come back in stock. im able to back order thru midway but who knows when i will get the damn thing.

Thinking about just bulk ordering the 5.56 and then selling it to you guys at cost.. May be easier to secure discounts that way.

I'm going to buy that upper it it's still available tomorrow. I'll buy it and either flip it, keep it, or trade it.

I got out on some private propery and put my newly assembled AR to use for the first time. Out of about 120 or so rounds within an hour I had one failure. I'm not sure what to call it but it was like a "soft double feed". There was a round in the chamber and the bolt was held half open by the next round. I locked the bolt back,pulled the mag,then dropped the bolt and fired the round. Then just reinserted the mag,charged and continued firing. I'm thinking it was the old oralite mag,and not the action. Was firing PMC bronze and xtac 55 grain with an unlubed failzero BCG. I'm very happy how well it all worked.

I've secured 6000 rounds which should be at my door second week of February. The January shipment was already allotted by the time I decided to pull the trigger. He has me first on the list for feb though. He said I could just refer all you guys but wouldn't guarantee ammo given the demand.

It will likely end up north of 400 though per 1000 given shipping costs. I need to know that a 10-20 dollar swing won't dissuade anyone cause I certainly don't need that many rounds myself lol

So, I bought an 8.2 inch Noveske upper in 300 blackout today because it was available, but its not the one I want. It is below





Does anyone know what the VIS upper is? First off, they don't make it anymore. The one I bought has the NSR rail system on it, which I'm not really a fan of. I don't like that it uses proprietary attachments and I prefer a quad-rail design. It appears to me that the VIS is a monolithic upper, where as the quad-rail they make now isn't. I'm not really sure why they would have made the change. Anyone have any idea? I mean, I thought the monolithic upper concept was better in theory, though the new design is no-doubt lighter. The one I bought is on gunbroker now...trying to search for the one I really want.
