Wheels that would look good without lowering
I know our cars are a little high which might make some wheels look a little weird (my opinion) what wheels do you guys have on your or would recommend? Maybe OEM ones? Show me what you have!

Great question. I'm interested as well. Love to see your wheel recommendations, and don't forget to add your wheel size as well!

I'm running OEM style 133 17x8 as my summer set up. Sounds cliche, but the pic does not do them justice. I think they look alright on my jacked up suspension.

Nothing bigger than 18's
M135 or Style 71's are the best looking rims for our cars, at least in my opinion, and I'm sure many others. M68's are awesome for 17's as well, I love them, but I think they look best on a coupe which is significantely lower than an Xi. |

I've seen many xi's with 18s and 19s and never liked them. Stay with 17s if not lowered, any bigger will slow you down and make an xi look like a donk.
Make sure the width is 8-8.5 inches to fit some 235/45 tires. Don't buy 205s. |

Those look very nice.
They're so nice that the 2% viewers of your car, that might spot they're "M" wheels, should be cool as long as an M badge never appears. Blast the naysayers. Check out Beyern Wheels, they're priced right, look and fit as OEM. Run your factory hub centers and lugs. I have them in 17's". Great wheels. >> http://www.beyernwheels.com/

I use 17 inch Beyern Mesh Wheels on my '03 325xi for the summer and the stock 16 inch wheels with snow tires for the winter. Tires are 17 inch "PLUS 0" on the Beyern wheels. On my '03 330xi Sport, I'm running the stock 17 inch wheels (had the PLUS 0 summer tires on them and now have the winter tires on them) but going to go to a Beyern Wheel in Spring for summer tires. On my E30's, I use BBS 3 piece wheels because one could easily afford them back in the late 80s and early 90s, and they are Plus 1 in size.

18's all day. If your concerned about weight and slowing down then the XI is the wrong choice anyways. Other then this guy I haven't ever heard of anyone suggesting 17's when considering a wheel upgrade. Last edited by E46er75; 01-04-2013 at 09:24 PM. |

Hi. I had 20" blackouts on my 2004 330ci. It looked really tough but isn't practical. Everyone thought the car was dropped but I left it stock. I say it's not practical because I feel like I lost performance. I know I lost gas mileage. And I went through tires like crazy. The last one might have been my fault or the city I live in. Either way, I have returned to the M3 package rims that came with it. Fell in love all over again!!
