Unfortunately not a diesel. I'm not sure what the mileage is yet but I can't imagine it's great, 3.8l V8

The merc diesel's were gutless wonders up until the OM606 anyways, and I think the only car we had stateside with that was the w210 E-class. Congrats on the purchase! All you need now is a top hat.

Im glad you went through with this.

An old merc is a bit like an old alfa. Its old, slow and creaky as hell but your reasons for loving it go far beyond the practial or logical.

It definitely has charm. You can tell the people responsible for it actually cared about the car they were building; I love it.

This one only has 90k miles and had one owner. There's a first aid kit in the back that had never been opened until I got it. It's in amazing condition and it's older than I am, and it was dirt cheap.

Engine block for a coffee table. Wanted something unique rather than a 6 or 8 and didn't want to drop $500 on a v10.

That, and I'm a big 5 cylinder Volvo fan.

I'm also planning on picking up a cheap exhaust manifold and turbo to add to it. I've seen a few painted ones on google, any suggestions on color?
