Bumping up an old post.

Can anybody can share some input on putting black vinyl on the chrome trim on an hardtop? What size vinyl did you order from shadowlinetrim.com?

Why don't you paint with removable plasti dip. I have painted entire top of my hardtop. When I get bored I remove it and is back to original

I considered plastidip. But I thought it would be cleaner with Vinyl and plastids would be easily chipped from road debris.

How is yours holding up? And how long have you had it plasti dipped?

I have painted several parts, front grilles, side skirts, rear diffuser, hardtop. I am now on 2nd year. No problem yet. So far you apply several layers the bonding is very good. There are several video on YouTube showing DIY especially on tips and masking for panting details like trims.

I have a hardtop for my car and I used it during our "rainy" season. Out here in my area you don't see many hardtops. People who even own E46 Cabs were asking me what model E46 i had ...

How does driving with a hard top compare with driving with a soft top?

Stiffens up the chassis significantly, IMO.
