Anyone with headers smell like gas for the rest of the day?

Every time I drive the car, when I get out I smell like gas for the rest of the day. I have Active headers and a stage II super char which I am sure doesn't help.

I am wondering though that maybe I have an exhaust leak somewhere that could be allowing the fumes to escape.

I am going to pick up oem exhaust manifold gaskets to see if they help.

Are r u running rich? If u have headers than the oem cats are gone so both situations can explain it

Is your cabin filter there?
I've never smelt any engine bay fume until I removed my cabin filter once and all I could smell was exhaust and fuel

When you put headers on your car, you lose your cats. The cats make the exhaust not stinky. So yes, with headers your car will stink.

Best you can do is put a cat in the exhaust to solve the problem. Or run E85, which smells a LOT better when it burns

I have catless headers and I do not smell the exhaust very often at all, usually only upon cold startup when I back out of the garage (backing through the rich fumes) and thats it.

It will take a while for you to either get used to it, or for the car to adapt to the change.

Mine smelled like gas for a week, eventually it went away... Nobody else around me complains now so I guess the car ECU adapted.

I am supercharged and catless. Although I do smell the exhaust on cold starts, once it is warmed up I rarely ever smell it. I certainly don't smell like exhaust. You sound like you're either running too rich, or you may have an exhaust leak further upstream which may enter the cabin.
