The guy is just a businessman taking advantage of his political powers and playing at the heartstrings of dumb americans to support legislation that will line his pockets,.

Maybe it's hypocritical because when current was approached by mercury as a buyer, they were told that gore wanted the legacy of his network to align with his own values. Apparently his values align with a government whose primary source of funds is oil and natural gas. Not to mention he sold it to a network that bin laden used anytime he needed to get a message out.

Additionally, calling him a hypocrite doesn't mean he shouldn't be allowed to sell it to whomever he choses. Calling him out on BS as noted above is not in poor taste.
