The F10 is a 4 year newer car and engine, and the cars aren't much different in size and weight.

BMW's target audience is huge, and why they have so many cars.

The E92 M3 though, I don't think it's rich docta folk. I think it's 20-40 year old tech industry men without children that live in with a comparatively lacking house.

Well, also lately there was a big switch to more fuel efficient engines. The new M5 is the first M car to finally ditch a high revving naturally aspirated engine and go for a lower RPM turbocharged engine.
