apparently the kid had access to his dad's gun. It was beneficial in this case. Quote:

Wait, he used an assault rifle? How big of a hole did he blow in the side of his house? This is what the media leads me to believe it does

Love the wording. Good for him though. A father who properly trained his children not only how to handle a weapon, but how to react.

Had he had a pistol the outcome would have most certainly been different.

Do you have any idea how much easier it is to shoot a rifle under stress and hit your target than a pistol? Get a clue

What kind of a moron would break into the home of a police officer ?
Probably the same one that would break into a home that has a sticker on the front door that says 'I don't dial 911'.

That's among the most poorly-written news articles I've ever read. And they usually set a pretty low standard.
I think the reporter must have invested tens of minutes investigating and wordsmithing that story.

Good for that family. Hopefully the kid isn't traumatized from the situation.
For some reason it makes worry about the neighbors getting a few bullet holes in their homes and putting them in danger though. Good to know only the burglars got hit. |

I have fired multiple guns, including a shotgun, rifle, and a pistol. Furthermore, two of my older family members who are still in the army believe that the public should not require anything more than a pistol/hunting rifle/shotgun. No automatic or semi-automatic. Have either of you served? It's funny that lots of the NRA members have never had anything to do with the military. Edit: sigh: fully or semi automatic. Anything that can fire a burst. I'm done here. This place is a haven for gun owners with a bent view of reality. All this site does is make y'all feel better about yourselves. I'm happy for you, you've all found others just like you. So semi automatic = burst fire now? Dang... what did I miss?

The word "there" can appear as a pronoun, as in “over there." "Their" is a possessive pronoun. In a phrase like “Susan and Bill's car,” it could be used to to make a new phrase: “their car.” ”They're” is a contraction of “they are.” “They are” should always be able to replace “they're.” ----------- Extra Credit: It's "I'm looking for an M3" not "I'm looking for a M3". ----------- |
