My Ride: 2003 330i
Dynavin DVN-E46-AD plus

Ok im going to make this as simple as could be.

Car:
2003
330i
sports package
5-speed

I recently purchased the Dynavin model stated in the title. I followed the youtube installation video and put it in myself. i am rather tech savvy but not with installing components inside a vehicle. this was the first but i spent a lot of time on it.

MAKE SURE YOU PLUG IN THE SMALL BLACK (IBUS) BOX SO YOU CAN USE THE STEERING WHEEL CONTROLS!!! (it comes with the package)

the microphone plus the GPS are very easy to wire if you just follow the video on youtube.

The problem i had was actually placing the head unit into the bezel/console/ whatever the hell you want to call it.

The GPS antenna, where it connects to the head unit is in the upper left corner and would not fit because of a plastic wall right behind it. everything slides in just fine except you can feel that the left side is not going in all the way. I took a drill bit and cut out the simple plastic behind it to make it fit. basically a 1"x1" hole. It really is the GPS antenna, it sticks out and there was no other way for it to fit.

Slide it right in and everything should work just fine.

ONCE INSTALLED

DO NOT USE THE SD CARD THAT COMES WITH!!!
(it is only for a refresh. Basically dont use it unless you have major problems)

Wired the USB to the glove box. it plays all mp3's and avi movies. not mp4.

purchased an 8gb mini SD card, put it in the RIGHT side slot and will have the same abilities as the USB flash drive.

ISSUES

the wifi does not work well with my iphone 4. it finds it but never connects.

it finds all wifi networks but does not like security enabled networks even if you have the password. (i drove to panara bread and used their wireless in the parking lot). That was the only time i was able to get online with the dynavin system.

Once you are able to access a wifi network you have to have a SD card inserted into the left hand slot on the head unit in order to start using the android side of the system. Maps, navigation, Apps, etc...

thats all i got, i think that is quite simple and pretty easy to follow without having to read through a thousand i have this and thats in order to find something so simple.

have any questions, ill be glad to help.
I live in Cary NC
