Clutch Noise

Did the search. Saw lots of opinions from nothing to worry about to replace entire clutch and throw out bearing.

For the first time this morning, I noticed a noise when I push in the clutch of my 6-speed.

In gear or not, same noise.

What's the real story?

In addition to the noise, is there a pulsating vibration to the clutch pedal when fully depressed? If so, most likely it's your throwout bearing and/or clutch pivot pin. How many miles on your m?

Does the pedal itself feel solid? Mine is worn out where it rotates, there's a rebuild kit you can buy for this. Just a suggestion...
