Impressive. It is the best resource I've found for computer stuff.

I just remembered that I get a pretty good discount on Dell and HP stuff through work (as much as 25%), so I'll be browsing through some of that stuff to see what's what.

Even if you get only 4GB of RAM, just add more later.

Edit: Lenovo is a good brand, too.
Good to know....thanks!

There's a Lenovo employee on here that has a special page for fanatics. Can't remember the member.

most of the processor listed are 2nd generation i5 or i3 processor.. 2xxx = last generation 3xxx are current generation...

honestly.. the pentium D processors, are faster than the core 2 duo ones from a few years ago...
it seems to mean less and less these days..

I just installed fresh windows xp on an 8 year old Pentium 4 HT computer (dell dimension 3000) with 2 gb of ram.. and it is fast, and does everything needed with no problems.. for normal day to day computing that is...

of course.. if you are buying new.. get a 3xxx series i3 or i5.. newest one.. and rock out.. the last generation will be fine.. but,, that is 6 month old sh1t .. no sense in buying it new..

just my thoughts..

i3 vs i5 is not that big of a deal.. especially for e46fantics, causal porn, and word processing..
but i recommend the latest i5 vs, and i7 for 90% of people... even though and i3 is really adequate for 82.7% of all users..
