That's not a bad price for an Oly Arms. They're not known as quality guns, though.

What are you looking to do with it? Any tactical training, or just range plinking? If the latter, then the Oly won't be bad for it. If the former, then stay away.

I think Oly's also have clambering issues sometimes. They claim to be 5.56, but are actually .223 rem.

Yeah, but they're decent. Not sure if they still make parts for Bushmaster and DPMS but I think they used too

I probably won't get anything, maybe a semi auto shotgun and another hand gun like the FNP 45

Yeah, and both of those are considered to be generally below-center-mass as far as rifles go.

The problem is that the guns might not be available again. Ammo isn't going anywhere, but the guns could be gone forever.

This! If anything is "certain", its a ban on high capacity magazines.

Certain firearms may go and we may see a price premium on ammo, but magazines are likely gone forever as of q2 this year. At the moment, I have 6 pmags at home and 20 more en route from various online stores.

If you can find ANY, pick them up now. Last I checked, 30 round Thermold mags were still available at sportsmans guide
