This website is awesome.
http://www.obd-codes.com/trouble_codes/bmw/

I couldnt even find p1250 though. What kind of scan tool is it? Because besides the code on a generic scanner, it should say for example, P1234 (car running like sh$t, bank 1 and bank 2)

Hows the car running? Id pay for a diagnostic at a dealership and ask exactly whats throwing this code.

The car run's great it just that every time we clear the check engine light to do the inspection a few day's later it come's back on.I had the car 13yr's so i did keep up on the maintance and replaced everything that needed to be changed. His scan tool isn't nothing special so maybe i should just take it to the dealer and have them scan my obd.

I see your from staten island. So am I. I can scan your car with a BMW specific software and can tell you the code.
You cant pass with clearing the code and going for inspection anymore.

When I had this code, I found a very small leak in a line that runs from the back of the manifold to the rear of the car to the carbon canister. Fixing this leak solved this code. I also tried the gas cap after searching around here but no luck. Keep trying, you'll get it
