Help!! Remove Front Seat in Convertible

Ok. This is pissing me off to no end. I am having the notorious seat not adjusting front to back. Adjuster at top of seat works fine. When I use the adjuster on the bottom side of the seat I can hear what sounds like a relay clicking underneath the seat. I already pulled the switch and tried cleaning the contacts inside to no avail. I'm trying to pull the seat to get a better look at the wires and all that but the convertibles have a 5th bolt. I can see it but I can't get to it. Searched everything I could think of with not luck.

So after looking for a way to get to that 5th bolt I tried it on the passenger seat and viola, it was right there. The seatback control won't let the seat Dar enough forward. So now I need to hot wire the motor to allow me to move it up. Where do I need to put power?

Finally got the motor out thinking I could then move the seat forward to remove the last bolt. No luck. So, now I have the motor out and the seat is still stuck. Any way to move the seat now? I just want to pull the seat so I can get a better look at the wiring and put the motor (or a new one if needed) back in. I don't know if I can get it back in if I don't pull the seat. That was a total nightmare.

You're not talking about the "express button" are you? Reason I ask is I'm pretty sure both switches control the same fore/aft motor.

Also, I took my seats out several years ago and don't remember a 5th bolt. Anyway, hope it works out for you. Sometimes these seat adjustment issues aren't the motor, but a broken plastic gear in the transmissions.

I am talking about the express button which leads me to think it isn't the motor. I hooked up the passenger seat controls to check and it had the same issue. So I'm coming to the conclusion that it is possibly the wiring underneath the seat somewhere. Once I got the motor out I hooked it up to direct power and it worked flawlessly. In the morning I'm going to put the motor back in, hardwire it to run the seat forward, then pull it out and start inspecting wires.
