minimum targets for the base car were 450hp/450tq.

I'm ok with the 7 gears because 2 will probably be overdrive.

This car will probably be almost as fast a a C6Z around a track (as the C6 Z51 was almost as fast as a C5Z)


Also to people saying stuff about all the vents and the hood. Those are functional items for cooling / aero, etc. They were all taken from research in on the Corvette Racing team. I'm cool with them all since they aren't just there for looks.

I might get a lot of **** for this but the Corvette has been an RX-7 copy exterior-wise since the C4.
C4 -> 944/FB copy.
c5 -> FD
C6 -> Lots of RX-8 curves going on.

This C7 doesn't have a mazda to copy so I think its interesting to see the styling changes follow the GT-R Boxyness and the Viper/Ferrari shape. those seats look great. The rest of the car is too boxy for me. I would save up for a Viper if I was in the market.

Good on chevy though. Lots of cool stuff going on with this car.

I love this car....I can't wait to drive one. I don't know how they were able to make the chasis almost 60% percent stiffer but that thing has to handle like a boss. I like everything about the looks but that rear end will take some getting used to. I think it looks good, it's just different for a Corvette. As the owner of a C6 I gotta say that I prefer the round taillights and some space between the exhaust tips but I'm sure it'll grow on me.

I see that I'm in the minority who think they've pretty much ruined the exterior styling.

Exterior styling - C6 > C7
Interior - C7 > C6

I'm sure power and driving dynamics will undoubtedly will be better in the C7 as well, but I just can't get over the exterior. JMHO.

Looks pretty awesome to me.

Moderately impressed.

New styling is certainly new(ish), dramatic and a departure from the current design language.

However...the actual design detailing is somewhat haphazard and does not cohere really well: a lot of individually interesting bits a bit losely combined. The back end especially is a conglomeration a bits that seem somewhat randomly applied and don't necesarily relate to each other too well.

I'm sure those seeking little more than visual drama and a departure from slavish adherence to previous Corvette design traits will be quite pleased. However, more discerning eyes might discern a less well integrated and thought out overall design, especially in the detailing, than they might have hoped.

Over all, a good to design that will get the job done but falls a bit short of greatness.

I dig it.

I like it but would prefer to see the vents/scoops be painted the same color as the rest of the body.
