High income tax, high sales taxes, high gas taxes, public utilities that answer to no one, abysmal service from all.... What a utopia!

You're right. Didn't mean to lump the whole state under the Chicago umbrella.

I know you work for big law, but have you ever though about packing up, and getting a job elsewhere? Sure, you will take a pay cut (my wife took a 120K cut when we left NY) but you can live in a place where your cost of living will be significantly less, a higher quality of life, etc. Just wondering what's keeping you there....and I really hope it's not money bro...can't spend it in hell.

You will be a criminal if you own an 8 round or more magazine. You will have a 12 month grace period to sell them out of state, but then if you are caught with one, you're a criminal.

Good luck getting anything turned around in libtard NY. The only way to turn it around is hope that like California, people will start to flee this hole, and sooner or later, it will become a bankrupt slum like it used to be.

Does anyone think that the federal govt is pushing for registration for assault weapons is because it will make it very easy for them to track, and remove them from the population when they decide to do something drastic?

Most also fail to realize that this magazine law is a massive intrusion....anyone want to show me a glock 19 7 round magazine? This law will basically turn most guns into paperweights.

Not sure if internal mags will be banned (like a shotgun) but don't quote me on this. I see the word "detachable" everywhere.....

WHAT!

That's terrible... Never thought I would be saying California gun laws look good in comparison

There is a reason why they made the legal limit 7 not 8. All my pistols would be illegal, since I won't be able to get a magazine for them. My .45 Sig 220 Elite holds 8. Since I have to get rid of the magazine, I would have a $1400 paperweight....if I lived in NY that is.

Wow...I think I'd have to move / sell the house in your situation as well. Sucks to hear man.

I've love to see a pic of the house if you have one...sounds like a great property.

seems like this 7rd rule is in favor of revolvers and 1911s.

I can't believe there's a state worse than Mass when it comes to gun laws. I feel bad for NY residents. How the law makers reached that decision is something I will never understand. They're probably exempt from it too.... (just a guess)

I find it incredible that they are literally stealing from their citizens. High cap mags won't even be grandfathered in. They spent money on magazines and have to surrender them to LE. I didn't read anything about compensation??
