Question on this Z4

Does anyone know anything about Z4's? This seems like a good deal and it is at kbb value for under a "good" rating so should I check it out? Was there anything wrong worth the Z4 smg trannys?

Yea considering my mom just purchased one. Its not SMG for one its auto with paddle shifters. Two different things. The post is misleading. The second thing is she got it for 24 with only 12k miles. I don't know the going rate on them. Is it the 2.5 or 3.0? As far as problems I have no idea I haven't read to much into it yet.

Edit: I lied. I seen it backwards. Its not auto its an SMG so its still two different things. I don't know about the SMG in that compared to my m3.

that shifter does look like the SMG/SSG shifter some non-M E46/Z4 were able to be had with.

I just looked it up and wow there is a difference I did not know that.... People are also just ignorant too

Yeah, I've seen the ad kicking around for a while now. They're likely having trouble selling it because of the SSG trans, as buyer's are leery of those. There are so few, people worry about parts, and by now even the dealers will have trouble working on them. It's a nice color combo and looks to be in decent shape, though. Some guys on the Z4 forums have run early cars up to 200k with few problems. The big thing is to check the roof mechanism and drain holes; if the holes clog the roof shorts out, and it's pricey to fix. Typical of the car was kept outside.

By the way, do you know of any good places to PPI near like Lombard IL? It is kind of outskirts of Chicago near elmhurst but there is a dealership: Westmont motors. They have some nice cars but I would need a PPI on the car before buying
