SRS Code Reset

Does anyone in the Richmond VA area have a SRS code clearing tool? I dummied up and set the code while replacing the window regulator. BMW wants to bust me in the ass of course. The car is a 03 325i. Thanks, Barry!

SRS is the airbag light, correct? If it is, then it wont come off with the PA soft. Been there done that. Theres a special scanner for that.

This tool is $26.00 but i havent tried it yet. Looks like it only deals with SRS code resets.

Are you sure?
Because PA soft can clear SRS(airbag light)
Even you can reprogram SRS module (different vin number)

If you have PA soft and you couldn't clear it, then you don't know how to use it.

PA soft is best so far.

It will clear the light as long as there is no problems with the airbag system and just needs to be reset.

I did on mine some weeks ago and now I have to it today again because I have to remove the air bag again to fix my door handle

That's puzzling... I purchased the version (uses the same PA Soft 1.4 software) from Resettoils (twice the cost) but cannot clear my airbag light despite the fact that SRS related functions all check and stay 'green'.

Any suggestions or thoughts (are there newer incremental updates to the software)...?

Incorrect. It can and will clear SRS codes as long as there is no PHYSICAL fault.

PA Soft reset my SRS light, not surE what you did wrong

Disconnect your battery before unplugging airbags.

The one I have is from the same supplier (version 1.4.0.6) -not especially responsive nor knowledgeable technical support. On occasion, this Scanner will not read ('not found') SRS module which is odd since a reboot of my PC will allow it to do so (even installed latest drivers). It shows old (yellow boxes) errors but light still is on... (?)

Strange. I've never had srs codes but my scanner reads srs fine.

You sure? I tried to reset it. I can see it trying to remove the light, the SRS light blinks off and stays on. (I didnt have an airbag though)

In one of the minimalist English responses it was suggested that the SRS codes can be set inside the IKE Module under the 'Coding Data' sub-menu but I don't see how they relate...hopefully one of you, eagle eyed, young chaps can point to it (?)

Actually, I saw some options that you can reprogram what equipments you have.
You can turn them on or off. If you turned off, then even you don't have an airbag, it won't light up.( I think but I haven't tried it yet but I reprogram some other options on SRS module(main computer))

Received the PA soft but i'm a little confused about the computer that i need to run the software with. I have read that i need 32 bit windows7. My computer is 64 bit, so i'm guessing that the PA soft won't work on my computer. Could someone clear this up for me please.

I have pa soft with win 7 64bit. Theres a big thread on bimmerforums on how to make it work.
